Leadership and Losing

In his powerful book, My Losing Season, Pat Conroy explains how his 1967 senior college basketball season in which his team lost more than twice as many games as they won turned out to be the pivotal experience of his life. He learned to depend on himself and others and to have the courage to pursue the career he wanted: writing novels. He went out to write The Prince of Tides, which sold over five million copies.
