If you were leaving your team at work in a week and you had an opportunity to craft one last speech for them, what would you say? When the pressure of hitting quarterly results has been lifted and you don’t have to focus so intensely on tactics or roadmaps, what would you say to your team?
Craft that speech as carefully as though you were really going to give it. Then read that speech over every week as your guiding force for the remainder of your time with that group. Even though you may never give that talk, you may very well identify key insights for you to keep in mind on a daily basis that will help you be a more effective leader.
