The Storyteller is the person who tells a down-to-earth story that conveys a powerful point.
Is there some experience you’ve had recently where you gained an insight into a particular behavior that you want to see more of in your organization? Can you tell the story to a group of your employees and then end the story by emphasizing a particular point? This was one of Abraham Lincoln’s and Mark Twain’s greatest strengths. Their stories and the points they were emphasizing have lived on for more than a hundred years after they each died. A well-crafted story with a powerful point can really influence how other people think for a very long time.

1. What primary idea are you trying to get across to your team members in terms of a specific behavior you want to see more of in your organization?
2. What real-life event can you talk about that will reinforce the importance of this idea?
