It’s Not About You

Write down an issue you’re dealing with at work.

imagine it’s not about you. Take yourself out of the situation.

What advice would you give the person in your role? It is much easier to give good, clear, and objective advice when you are not the one involved. Write this advice down.

Now put yourself back into dealing with the issue, but this time use the advice you gave for the person in your role.
